Born mid-2005, Cavern is the ongoing collaboration of ideas between Los Angeles based artists, Adam Tullie and Angeline Rivas. Primarily focusing on original, hand-drawn graphics, Cavern has now grown their product offerings into a full collection as of their 2008 Spring/Summer line.

After one year at Art School, Adam Tullie (b.1982), decided to cut-out and focus on his own work and studies independently, travel throughout Europe, and make music. Exploring organic form joined with meticulous line work, the natural evolution of his work became apt for textiles working in a painterly nature with contrasting linear formation. Angeline Rivas (b.1981) grew up surrounded by the open fields of Kansas, before arriving in Los Angeles in 2000 to attend school at Otis College of Art & Design where she majored in Fashion Design. Her drawings are intensely detailed and rendered with fine pen strokes creating a highly stylized representation of various subjects. The majority of drawing included in the collection is executed in ballpoint pen, and several works have taken up to one month to complete.

Without being swayed by market trends, Cavern strives to successfully engage classic charm with an innovative twist of visual information using materials of the highest quality available. Cavern has been worn by Beck, Devendra Banhart, and Kanye West, along with being written up in several fashion forums including Nylon, Refinery29, and Men's Style.com . In, 2006, Beck asked Adam to include some of his artwork in his latest album insert, The Information, and shortly thereafter asked Cavern to design 2 shirts for a 2007 Japanese Tour. The duo recently completed a collaboration project with Devendra Banhart on items that are currently being sold on his world tour.
